About Us

3DX Research is a group at the Arizona State University, established in the Fall of 2017. Our overarching mission is to  leverage space (3D) and composition (X) to design and manufacture materials and structures that utilize mass one to two orders of magnitude more efficiently than current state-of-the-art solutions.

To address this, we have developed three related research themes that are the focus of our work in the group:

1. Metal Additive Manufacturing

2. Cellular Materials

3. Comparative Biomechanics & BiomimeticS
